Coffee Stained Paper DIY

Today we found a great tutorial on how to stain paper with coffee. A special thank you to DIY Craft Club for posting this tutorial to try. Staining paper with coffee is so satisfying. This was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon let me tell ya! There are many uses for coffee-stained paper so we couldn't wait to try this out. When we went ahead and followed this tutorial, we used a baking tray and dipped larger sheets to use for custom gift wrapping to keep on hand. Their tip about the different kinds of paper was a good one because when we tried regular printer paper we did not have as good results, it ripped really easily. Heavier papers ended up being our favorites, especially for stamping on. We found that the best paper for stamping thank you notes was the watercolor paper. It gives a nice ephemera look and feeling. She has the ability to send us running to our local thrift store time and time again. What we love about her videos and teaching style (not to mention she is super soothing to listen to) is that she often makes use of things that might be thrown away, like the packaging of a pen pack or cardboard from a cereal box. She shows us that we can make beautiful imaginative artwork with things we might already have at home. So inspiring!
